Weddings are moments filled with joy, love, and unforgettable memories. Recently, EVENTS BY Cassidy McCleans had the privilege to bring to life the beautiful wedding of Tobi & David by providing luxury wedding decor at Tullyglass Hotel. From the very beginning of the planning process, every aspect was designed to provide a magical experience for the couple and their guests. This post shares the highlights of that special day, the creative setup we provided, the venue’s charm, and the wonderful vendors who helped make everything perfect.

The Couple and Their Vision
When Tobi reached out to us, she had been referred to us for venue styling and asked if we could create something unique for her. After seeing her inspiration pictures, we were fully on board! She envisioned an abundance of flowers, and we were determined to deliver.
For their blended wedding that united Nigeria and Ireland, Tobi and David wanted an event that mirrored both cultures, combining classic elegance with personal elements that represented their shared journey. Their style favored pastel purples and lilacs, natural greenery, and subtle touches of gold to add luxury without overpowering the ambiance.
Our task was to bring this vision to life, and I believe we succeeded in doing so.
What We Provided for the Wedding Decor Setup at Tullyglass Hotel
Some weddings are beautiful.
Others are unforgettable.
Tobi & David’s celebration at the stunning Clock Tower Suite in Tullyglass Hotel was the perfect blend of both — a joyful fusion of Nigerian and Irish traditions, wrapped in luxurious floral décor and thoughtful styling from start to finish.
With three unique setups across two ceremonies and a reception, this wedding gave us every opportunity to bring creativity, colour and elegance to life.
Ceremony One — A Celebration of Nigerian Tradition
We began in the couple’s reception suite, transforming the space for their first ceremony honouring Nigerian heritage. With generous room to work within the Clock Tower Suite, we focused on creating a floral-forward setting full of depth and colour.
To welcome guests, we installed a luxury floral arch at the start of the aisle — a statement entrance that set the tone beautifully. Ten tall gold plinths, each topped with large lilac and purple florals, lined the aisle to create a breathtaking walkway.
At the top of the aisle, we styled the bride’s chaise longue with a meadow of flowers that surrounded the setting perfectly. Behind it, our floral moongate stood proudly as the feature backdrop. A collection of elegant gold candlesticks tied everything together, adding a soft, magical glow that felt warm, regal and romantic.
Ceremony Two — An Irish-Inspired Romance
For the couple’s second ceremony, we moved to the hotel’s ceremony suite for a setting inspired by Irish tradition. This look embraced a softer, more romantic aesthetic with an emphasis on movement, candles and meadow-style florals.
We framed their signing table with two large floral pillars, creating a natural focal point at the top of the aisle. To elevate the walkway itself, we added long lengths of floral meadows running up each side of the aisle, filled with delicate blooms and textures. Dozens of flickering candles were layered throughout to achieve that dreamy, fairytale glow — intimate, warm and utterly romantic.
The Reception — A Masterclass in Repurposing Luxury Florals
After both ceremonies, it was time for the evening celebration. We returned to the Clock Tower Suite and transformed it once again for the wedding reception, carefully repurposing key florals to maximise their beauty and sustainability.
The long meadow arrangements from Ceremony Two were reimagined as the couple’s top table florals, creating a seamless continuation of their ceremony aesthetic. The floral moongate and the meadow surround from the first ceremony were moved to frame the couple’s cake display — becoming a striking and elegant backdrop.
To finish, we styled each guest table with a curated selection of small bud vases, each filled with delicate blooms chosen to perfectly match the overall colour palette. Simple, refined and effortlessly beautiful.
Collaborating with Other Vendors
A wedding is a team effort, and we were fortunate to work alongside some truly talented vendors:

Wedding Cake – Lanterns Catering and Bakes

We want to give a heartfelt shout out to these vendors for their professionalism and creativity. (Sorry to those we didn't manage to get introduced to on the day)
Our standout moments
Tobi & David's celebration had so many highlights that it’s hard to choose, but here are the ones that truly stood out:
That Nigerian Ceremony… Wow. The energy was electric. The bride and her bridal party made a grand entrance like no other — upbeat, full of joy, dancing their way through the floral arch and right up the aisle. Full choreography, full confidence, full magic. It was EPIC.
Not One… but Two Ceremonies. Why settle for one when you can have double the beauty? From a vibrant Nigerian ceremony to a romantic Irish ceremony, the couple made the most of every moment and embraced each tradition fully.
Yes, Also Two Wedding Cakes! Cake lovers, this one’s for you. Guests enjoyed a special cake served immediately after the Nigerian ceremony, followed by a second, beautifully piped vintage cake that became the star of our reception backdrop later that evening. Double the ceremonies, double the cake — what more could you want?
Meeting the Lovely Shirley from Tullyglass Hotel. A true highlight of our day. Shirley was an absolute delight — calm, professional, and endlessly patient as we waited to complete our room transformations. Every venue needs a “Shirley.”
Rumour Has It… A £5,000 Prize for Best Dancer! YES, you read that right. A £5,000 prize pot for the best dancer. Suddenly everyone — us included, and probably half the Tullyglass staff — wanted to throw shapes on that dancefloor!
The Beautiful Blend of Two Cultures. Above all, the most memorable moment was witnessing the union of Nigerian and Irish traditions. Two families, two cultures, two sets of rituals — all coming together seamlessly in a celebration filled with love, laughter, colour and connection. It was truly special to be part of a day that honoured heritage while creating something new and uniquely theirs.
Capturing the Moments
Throughout the day, we documented the setup and key moments with photos and videos. These visuals highlight the attention to detail and the joyful atmosphere that surrounded Tobi's and David's celebration.

Final Thoughts
Tobi & David’s wedding was a celebration of love across cultures — vibrant, heartfelt and visually stunning at every turn. It was a joy to design and style each space, ensuring both traditions were honoured with their own unique look while still tying together into one cohesive, floral-rich story.
A heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds — and thank you for trusting us to play a part in your spectacular day.
