The Journey of Planning with David and Steven
When David and Steven first got in touch to chat about their big day, we decided that the best place to start was with a relaxed, in-person meeting at a local coffee shop. At that stage, the guys didn’t have a clear vision of what they wanted their wedding to look like – and that’s completely okay. Together, we talked through the entire wedding day from start to finish, identifying what they had already organised and which elements still needed attention.
This initial conversation allowed us to open up possibilities they hadn’t yet considered. By exploring the flow of the day and discussing different options, David and Steven quickly began to visualise how their wedding could come together. From celebrants, photographers, videographers and content creators to cake design, drag queen entertainment, décor and evening entertainment – no idea was off the table.
By the end of that first meeting, the vision had started to take shape. The gents left full of inspiration, excited and ready to dive head-first into wedding planning mode, with a clear idea of how they wanted their day to feel and the confidence to bring it all to life.
An Explosion of Colour & Personality
As the big day drew closer and we reconnected with David and Steven to finalise the finer details, it became clear that this wedding was going to be anything but ordinary. This was the moment we truly saw just how bold, joyful and personality‑driven their plans had become — and we honestly couldn’t wait to see it all come to life.
From the moment guests arrived, the day was an absolute explosion of colour. From their vibrant ceremony through to the reception, not a single space was left untouched. Rooms were filled with flamingos, shimmering disco balls, a We Said YAASSS Queen neon sign and a jungle‑themed backdrop that set the tone for a celebration that was unapologetically fun and full of flair.
Every detail told a story. A RuPaul‑inspired Order of Service set the mood, while the iconic Drama Queen seating plan paid tribute to some of the greatest pop divas of all time — think Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Cher, Kylie Minogue, Britney Spears, Dolly Parton and many more. These playful, personality‑packed touches had guests smiling before the celebrations had even begun.
And then there was the cake. A true showstopper — a three‑tier masterpiece bursting with colour, perfectly tying together the flamingo and jungle theme and adding yet another unforgettable moment to an already spectacular day.
Seeing everything come together at The Rabbit Hotel was nothing short of incredible. The energy, the laughter and the sheer joy in the room confirmed what we already knew — this was a wedding that dared to be different, and it didn’t disappoint.
Entertainment, Lighting & Show‑Stopping Moments - Wedding Entertainment Northern Ireland
To complement David and Steven’s bold vision, we provided a range of décor, lighting and entertainment elements that enhanced the colour‑filled atmosphere and kept guests entertained from start to finish.
One of the standout features was our 4ft LED Infinity Letters, displayed as MR & MR. One of the biggest benefits of these letters is their versatility — they can be set to almost any colour or lighting effect. For this wedding, a rainbow setting was the perfect choice, seamlessly tying into the overall explosion‑of‑colour theme and instantly making a statement in the room.
To further enhance the space, we added uplighting around the room, carefully set to pink and green to match the grooms’ blazers. This thoughtful detail helped amplify the colour story throughout the venue and elevated the atmosphere as the celebrations moved into the evening.
Entertainment played a huge role in the day, and our Gilded Frame Selfie Mirror was a big hit with guests. Using the couple’s own neon and jungle‑themed backdrop as the background for every photo ensured the experience felt completely bespoke. We believe every element should match your event theme, so we fully personalised the photobooth using the exact colours and designs from David and Steven’s wedding invitations — creating a seamless extension of their jungle‑inspired, vibrant aesthetic.
For a fun and interactive alternative to traditional wedding favours, we provided our Find a Key Claw Machine. Designed with flamingos and disco balls in mind, this feature quickly became a guest favourite. Throughout the evening, guests queued excitedly for their chance to win, with sweet treats galore provided by us and four larger prizes supplied by the grooms. The prizes — including an Apple iPad, Apple AirPods, a £100 Amazon voucher and a bottle of Champagne paired with Chocolates — had guests going absolutely crazy.
To round off the celebrations and create one of the most memorable moments of the night, we supplied our Cold Spark Machines. David and Steven shared a beautiful sparkler moment with their guests before walking through fountains of sparks, creating a true wow‑factor finale. The result? An awe‑inspiring moment and photographs that are simply stunning.

Daft Pop Band travelled all the way from Dublin to keep the party going, and wow… the room was electric. Their performance brought unbeatable energy and had the dancefloor packed all night long.
This collaboration created a seamless experience where every detail was covered, and every moment was captured beautifully.
Standout Moments We’ll Never Forget
Several moments stood out as highlights of the day:
Cold Spark Machines and Sparkler Moment: One of the most magical moments that we got to experience on the day was the sparkler celebration. Surrounded by their guests, David and Steven shared a beautiful sparkler moment before walking hand-in-hand through our cold spark fountains. This was such a beautiful moment, and the photos captured were nothing short of breathtaking.
Splash of Colour Everywhere: From ceremony to reception, colour was everywhere — bold, joyful and unapologetic. Every space felt alive, with vibrant tones, playful styling and statement décor working together to create a wedding that truly dared to be different. It was a visual feast and a perfect reflection of the grooms’ personalities.
Wedding Favour Prizes: The excitement around the Find a Key Claw Machine was incredible. Guests absolutely loved taking their turn, with cheers and laughter filling the room as prizes were won. Guests were eager to win prizes like the iPad and AirPods, and the buzz around this feature lasted all night.
Drag Queen Performance: Trudy Scrumptious delivered an unforgettable, high-energy performance that had the entire room on their feet. It was bold, fun and full of personality — a true highlight that perfectly matched the tone of the celebration and kept the party atmosphere alive.
Thoughtful Gift from the Grooms: One of the most special moments for us came after the wedding itself. David and Steven surprised us with a thoughtful card and gift as a thank you, something we truly didn’t expect. Gestures like this remind us why we love what we do — being part of such meaningful celebrations and working with couples who appreciate every detail just as much as we do.
